New voters can now find help in 7 different languages!

Voting is one of the most important things we do as citizens in a democracy. As California’s chief elections officer, Secretary of State Debra Bowen encourages every eligible citizen to register to vote and participate in elections. To help meet the needs of new citizens and others who prefer to vote in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog or Vietnamese, the Secretary has introduced a set of “New Voters” web pages in all these languages, plus English. There, you will find a voter registration form, advice on what to bring with you when you go to vote, instructions on how to vote by mail, and other useful voter information.
