What does it mean to participate as an intern in SLA?
Working full-time for a labor union in Los Angeles for 8 weeks during the summer 2012
Participation in a mandatory two-day training on June 18 and 19, where you’ll learn the history of the Los Angeles labor movement and the basics of labor organizing
Mentorship opportunities with your supervisor and colleagues at your host organization
You’ll earn a stipend of $4800 total for participation in the 8-weeks, June 18 to August 10, internship program.

One of our biggest internship sites this year has a lot of Asian American and Pacific Islander members (home care workers) and we’d love to recruit various Asian & Pacific Islander language speakers for our program. Chinese and Vietnamese language speakers are especially needed, but all languages are needed.
